Event Date
SSJV Water Quality Coalitions are excited to offer a FREE 2-day training event through their joint management practices evaluation program (SSJV MPEP). The training will be held in January 2025 at three convenient locations: Bakersfield, Parlier, and Tulare. It is designed to equip growers and their advisors with crop-specific information about irrigation efficiency, nutrient management, and the critical relationship between water and nitrogen. Attendees will learn how to use water and nitrogen efficiently to conserve and protect groundwater resources while farming productively.
Day 1 is a full day event (8:30-4:00) that features expert presentations from UC Farm Advisors, covering the latest research and recommendations, and includes free lunch!
Day 2 is a half day event (8:30-12:00) that offers hands-on practice with CropManage, UC's free decision-support tool, to help optimize irrigation and nutrient decisions tailored to your crops.
Join us in Bakersfield at the Kern Ag Pavilion on January 27-28, Parlier at the UC Kearney Ag Center on January 28-29, or at the SCE Energy Education Center on January 29-30 for your local session.
